HERO: Nineteen-year-old Hero Angeles is the third child in a brood of four. Born in Caniogan, Pasig, this pretty boy has a few skeletons in his closet- literally. Sayang.” Is he a hero or a weirdo? Early on, Boy Abunda likened the bedimpled Hero to “iced tea na walang ice.” This time around, Boy said Hero had become iced tea “na tama ang tamis, tama ang asim, pero wala pa ring ice.” Boy launched an on-air sermon: “Para kang panahon na pabugso-bugso. Minsan matamlay, minsan you’re full of energy. Lauren Dyogi added: “Mahal ka ng tao, all you have to do is be deserving.”

SANDARA: At 19, Sandara Park still sleeps with her younger sister. That’s despite having her own room. “Because I’m afraid to sleep alone.” After nine years of living in the Philippines, this pure Korean contender has already become Filipinized, so to speak. She likes local showbiz, for instance, and counts Ai-Ai delas Alas and Assunta de Rossi among her favorite stars. Asked what her collection is, she says, without batting a Korean eyelash: “Pictures of cute guys like Patrick Garcia, John Prats and the Anime Boys .”
Sandara was never able to impress the jurors. Boy Abunda likened her to a “cartoon character na de-susi.” I will not give up. Boy had to concede: “I will not argue with charisma nor will I even try to understand it. Sandara, the Filipinos love you. Sana pahalagahan mo ang pagmamahal ng sambayanang Pilipino by being a good artist.”

ROXANNE: Before joining SCQ, Roxanne Guinoo was actively pursuing her BS Psychology studies at De La Salle University in Dasmarinas, Cavite. We can understand why her parents are so protective of this 5-foot-4 stunner. If you wish to make her smile, give her a baseball cap to add to her collection. Roxanne seemed to be the jurors’ favorite. Lauren Dyogi openly told her: “I know you have a future in showbiz. Tutulungan kitang maging bankable leading lady.” Boy Abunda said: “Sa simula, I found you distant, aloof…Binabawi ko ‘yan. Now I see you as commendable. Of all of them, ikaw ang pinakahuhuluang sisikat.” Asked later for her reaction, she told YES!: “Nakakataba po ng puso.”
