Diether admitted that Kristine Hermosa, his girlfriend, was on the set when his love scene with Katherine Luna for “Nasaan Ka Man” was being shot. But he denied that she made a scene.
Kristine raises eyebrows
on Diether’s love scene

The cast of the soon-to-be released Star Cinema movie, “Nasaan Ka
Man,” including their director, Cholo Laurel, did their homework. And the result is “a motion picture about love and redemption,” to quote Ricky Lee, who co-wrote the story and script of “Nasaan Ka Man” with Direk Cholo.
"I’m grateful to all my actors," said Direk Cholo, a top commercial director who is making his first foray into film making. "They were not just cooperative and supportive but they all went out of their way just so they could portray the roles assigned to them as realistically as possible."
"I went around, asking performers whom I admire to give me advice on how I should essay my role," said Claudine Barretto, one of the stars of the movie, "Noong binabasa ko pa lang ang script ng pelikula, alam ko nang ‘di basta basta ang role na assigned sa akin. Kaya nagdalawang-isip ako if I could do it."
Claudine plays one of the adopted children of two spinsters, who are played with aplomb by Hilda Koronel and Gloria Diaz. The other two adopted children are played by Jericho Rosales and Diether Ocampo. Claudine’s character falls in love with Jericho. This, naturally, creates trouble, in the family. Gloria’s character insists: "Magkapatid kayo." To which Claudine’s retorts: "Ampon n’yo lang kami."
"It complicates things when I realized I was in love with Claudine, too. And that I would not have Jericho have her without a fight," said Diether.
Diether considers his role in "Nasaan Ka Man" as his most challenging. To prepare for his role as Ito, he did a character sketch and conferred with Direk Cholo each time he faced the camera.
Direk Cholo had wanted Jericho to portray Ito, but the actor begged off.
"May pagka-wicked at weird kasi si Ito. At that time when we started work on ‘Nasaan Ka Man,’ I was doing ‘Santa Santita,’ where I was an anti-hero. So, sabi ko, akin na lang ‘yung role na Joven, at baka naman manibago na sa akin ang manonood," related Jericho
"Nasaan Ka Man," produced by Star Cinema, is showing on June 15. It is the first movie together of Claudine, Jericho and Diether.
"I’ve worked with Diet in a number of projects – teleserye and movies – pero with Echo, ngayon ko lang talaga siya naka-trabaho.
"It’s our first time to work with Direk Cholo. And we all salute him for a job well done," Claudine said.
Diether admitted that Kristine Hermosa, his girlfriend, was on the set when his love scene with Katherine Luna for "Nasaan Ka Man" was being shot. But he denied that she made a scene.
"Nasa labas lang siya. But she was able to watch what was happening in the video post. Now, how she reacted to the scene, I don’t know," said Direk Cholo.
"Ang alam ko, tumaas ang kilay niya (Kristine) – hanggang noo," Gloria blurted out.
"Nasaan Ka Man" was shot in Baguio, a setting which added to the story’s appeal.
"It was my choice that we do the movie in Baguio City. Not just because of its cold weather but because of its foggy atmosphere, na kailangang-kailangan sa pelikula," explained Direk Cholo.
Speaking of Jericho, the reason why he was not at the last presscon of "Nasaan Ka Man" was because he is in Belgium for the continuation of some scenes for a teleserye he is doing for a Malaysian TV company. But he will be back to attend the premiere of "Nasaan Ka Man" on June 15.
