Claudine keeps mum on cases
By KAYE VILLAGOMEZ
Claudine Barretto disclosed to Manila Bulletin that she has yet to be updated on the controversial case involving her and Yes magazine editor Jo–Ann Maglipon. "I don’t know," was her quick reply when the press inquired about the proceedings of the case.
Refusing to elaborate, Claudine evaded more questions by saying, "It’s just better not to talk at all because I don’t want to be misinterpreted anymore," she said on the occasion last Monday at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas where she signed a one-year contract endorsement with Earth & Style property development.
Instead, Claudine chose to speak at length about the preparations for her coming wedding to Raymart Santiago next year. "March 27 is a very significant date because it’s the wedding anniversary of Raymart’s parents. We thought it best to choose that date, too for our wedding," Claudine further told the Bulletin.
She added that she is currently juggling wedding preparations and shooting for her next movie "Sukob" with Kris Aquino. "I’m shooting ‘Sukob’ now and we’ve planned to can tapings for a new soap I’m doing in January. I want everything settled before the wedding syempre."
The actress revealed she and Raymart are planning to go to Europe, particularly to Venice in Italy, for their honeymoon. "When we taped ‘Milan,’ I had enough chance to explore some parts of Europe and I fell in love with Venice because it’s so romantic there!" Claudine expressed.
However, she assured her fans that her marriage doesn’t mean that people are going to see less of her. "I’ll still be very active. Just because I am endorsing houses for Earth & Style, it doesn’t mean na sa bahay na lang ako when I get married. It’s one thing to love designing homes but it’s another thing to stay there all the time."
Claudine said she has mastered the art of realigning her priorities. "I’m very, very happy now because I have found my peace of mind and my purpose as a Christian is very clear to me now," she ended.
